About me
I am a lecturer in research and teaching in mechanics of materials. I am experienced in the field of structural mechanics, computational solid mechanics, and experimental methods.
I tackle mainly with lightweight vehicle materials such as light metals, fibre reinforced composites, and composite laminates. Likewise, my research expertise include the energy absorbing structures from fibre metal laminates, to honeycomb structures, and foam filled profiles. I have ample experience in the implementation of experimental and numerical research methodologies in my research.
During my PhD, I investigated 'The temperature effects on the impact characteristics of fibre metal laminate panels'. I evaluated the effects of temperature on the mechanical and impact properties of fibre metal laminates. I was successful in simulating the effect of increased temperatures on fibre metal laminates; where I consecutively validated delamination, quasi-static indentation, and low-velocity impact responses of fibre metal laminates across different temperatures.
